      Scale that up to fit neatly at the end of a large hallway and watch people run into it!

      Not mind blowing. Saw art like that 15 years back. Nothing really new. Good execution though.

      That’s fucking awesome

      Once it’s out to the side completely I see the object the way it is but centered I can’t see anything but the deep hallway

      A++

      My friends sucked in the 90’s when I did acid

      ..why no one ever give me a block of wood?^lol

    5. First time I’ve seen something like this, very interesting! Wonder if anyone has scaled this up lol, would be an insane time to have a “5D Amusement Park” lol

    6. The “5D” is bs. it’s 3D, but proves that perspective (at least without binocular vision) can provide two solutions that appear identical in 2D: one concave, one convex.

    7. Serious question, why not just make it actually a hollow box and paint the inside instead of making it protrude out and using an optical illusion to create the effect.

      Yes I understand that the illusion is part of the art, but this only works from a certain angle but if the box actually went in then there would still be an element of the same illusion but you wouldn’t need to view it from a very specific head on angle and in the right lighting?

      Maybe I’m overthinking it 🙂

      It’s not actually 5d.
      the fourth dimension is time
      fifth dimension is something else.
      A 5d person would likely perceive the fourth dimension as just another direction, akin to how we perceive each of the 3 dimensions we are able to perceive
      this is just an illusion
